- Borders a popular lake and has full amenities to the lake
- Attractive views
- Many within unit luxuries (balconies, private whirlpool
- Near thermal baths and many national park attractions
- Overall, a nice resort for getting away from it all
Arkansas has abundant natural settings with vegetation and lakes that are superb. Lake Hamilton is located near Hot Springs and is one such place. The complex is very large and some of the surroundings are a bit overwhelming. However, you won't have a problem getting what you need here or at the close by locations. The resort is full service and sports amenities that should please even the most demanding traveler.
Hot Springs has been a major attraction for years for many local and national artists. Those traveling into town will find that the shops are both unique and plentiful. The area is tuned more for the family rather than the single person. However, the numerous activities available in the area attract everyone. Hiking, water sports, horseback riding, and lounging on the beaches is enough to satisfy most anyone.
Early spring and fall are the best times to visit. Spring often brings many wondrous attractive vegetation throughout the region and the fall colors in these gentle mountains covered in hardwoods is a sight to see. Summers can get fairly hot, but the lake and amenities still make it a worthwhile visit during that season. Winters can be downright unconformable. Top suggestion is the fall season.
It is only 60-miles from Little Rock Airport and it is a surprisingly nice place to a fly into. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive, a shuttle will take you the very short distance into the downtown Hot Springs area. However, if you really want to see the area, you really need a car. It is highly recommended.

Recommended. Recommended for the family that enjoys water, hot springs, and unique art. Rating on a scale of 5:
It's a 4.
Scale is 5=don't miss out, 4=be hard to not enjoy, 3= it's OK and worth a visit, 2=nice but nothing special, and 1=forget it
