Development Association (ARDA)
The American Resort Development Association
(ARDA) is a US trade organization for vacation ownership, resort
developers, and resort managers. If a resort has a membership in
ARDA, it means they have agreed to comply with their strict Code
of Standards and Ethics. You may find their consumer news
section helpful.
Interval International (II)
Interval
International is a vacation ownership exchange service. These
services don't own or manage resorts. They are company's that
serve timeshare owners that have purchased vacation ownership in
resorts that meet and maintain their criteria for quality. They
also provide other membership benefits for those resort vacation

Resort Condominiums International (RCI)
Resort
Condominiums International (RCI) is a another vacation ownership
exchange service (see II above).
According to RCI, eight of every 10
timeshare exchanges are booked by RCI each year. They provide
timeshare-exchange and travel services for nearly 2.4 million member
families through its network of more than 3,300 affiliated resorts in
nearly 90 countries. RCI's web site address is www.rci.com. The site
includes an online directory of RCI-affiliated resorts, travel tips and
information, and a section where RCI members can transact exchanges
online.
