Christian Singles Network,
Volunteer Supported Non-profit Group
- Description. This is a social and recreational activity group for christian singles. It is nondenominational, but members must sign a statement faith to belong. All ages
are represented and a free brochure is available by calling 303.343.9898. They also have a personal photo directory available for the members (check for a cost on it). (For this as well as similar groups,
you may wish to check out the Church and Christian Support Guide. There are several groups sponsored by the christian support churches: Bear Valley Church of Christ has Bear Valley
Singles for Christ; Central Christian Church, Searchers; Aurora First Assembly of God, Singles Alive; Trinity United Methodist, Trinity Singles; and Lakewood Nazarene Church, Singles Group.)

- Description. If you like square
dancing, this is the site for you, single or otherwise.
- Events. They list several
singles events every month. Square dancing is definitely
the common bond here.

Mountain Singles, Volunteer Supported Social Group
- Description. This is an Evergreen and Conifer area Colorado group of more than 200 that meets at least twice a month. For more information obtain a Canyon Courier (Evergreen)
or High Country Times (Conifer) paper, published weekly. Write PO Box 430, Evergreen, CO 80437 or pick up a paper in the area.
- Events. Meal events are held at several locations on various Friday's at establishments in the Evergreen/Conifer/Pine Junction area. Call 674.5777 for more details.
Nonpareil, Volunteer Fee Supported Nonprofit Group
- Description. A dynamic group of successful singles above the age of 50 who enjoy a variety of stimulating activities primarily in the Denver
metro area and welcome singles to become members and participate in tennis, golf, biking, hiking, happy hours, bridge, book and movie discussions, country
club dinner dances, house parties, skiing, bowling, Broncos TV house parties, and many other activities.
- Membership. Prospective members must be sponsored by a Nonpareil member and attend from two to five events to be considered for membership.
With a limited number of memberships currently available, obtain more information about joining by mailing a note with some pertinent information about yourself,
i.e., interests, activities, occupation, country club membership, etc., to Nonpareil; PO Box 3174; Littleton, CO 80161-3174.

Salty Dog Sailing Club, Volunteer Supported Sailing Group
- Description. If you like to sail and want to meet someone that enjoys the same, this is the group for you. While this group is not a specific singles group, and includes married
people too, it has many members and allows people with similar interests to meet and socialize. A great group for the sailor, or want to be sailor wishing to learn to sail. They sponsor activities that
include hands-on teaching and more.
- Events. Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. every second Thursday of the month at the Grand Slam Sports Cafe, 810 S. Wadsworth Boulevard, 771-9173.
Schussbaumer Ski Club, Non-Profit Volunteer Fee Supported Social Group
- Description. The Schussbaumer Ski Club is a private ski and social club, with mostly single members from Colorado's Front Range (Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins
and surrounding cities). Since the early 60's, the Schussbaumer Ski Club has owned a Chalet at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado that sleeps 72 people, with separate floors for men and women.
All members must be 21 years and older and live in Colorado's Front Range. They have been around for something like 45 years.
- Events. In addition to the lodge and skiing, they have parties on most major holidays. The parties usually include a gourmet meal and are followed by dancing, drinking, and
music. About half the parties have a DJ present. They also hold activities in the non-skiing months when they hike, bike, attend music festivals, and enjoy the summer in the Denver areas and in the mountains.
The club hotline number is (303) 355-6466 and chalet phone is (970) 453-9973. They have a fairly extensive website too.
Singles Adult Resources, Church Supported Group
- Description. Two churches have joined together to serve the single community with series of workshops in issues that interest singles and events. The churches are: First Evangelical
Convent Church, 8390 Eat Hampden Avenue in Denver,, and Longmont Christian Church, West Highway 66 and Main Street in Longmont.
- Events. Events are published and mailed to people that ask to be on their list. Immediate information available by calling 303.758.1020. Common workshops and events include:
"Is remarriage right for you?", Spirituality and relationships", and rafting the Royal Gorge (Arkansas River near Canyon City).
Singles at the Symphony, Volunteer Supported Group
- Description. Sponsors gathering times for singles to enjoy the Colorado Symphony in downtown Denver. Times to meet others are provided through receptions before the concert,
during intermissions, and afterward (cash bar available on breaks and receptions). The single symphony participants are assigned special seats in one of two areas of the individual's selection. Requested
dress is business casual.
- Events. Events are published quarterly (about). Immediate information available by calling 303.757.7681.
Singles Christian Community Events Calendar, Volunteer Supported Christian Group
- Description. This local resource guide began about January 1996. Of the four missions listed in their guide, the providing of "timely information about upcoming Christian
Events happening around the state" (Colorado) is just one of them.
- Events. Many singles and Christian events are listed. Contact the listing shown in the KWHD TV 53 events guide for the latest
activity information. A listing of single's oriented resources is also available through this group.
Singles Wards and Branches of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Church Supported Group
- Description. If you are single, in the front range area, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) then you probably know you are a part Maplewood
Ward and are a part of the Willow Creek Colorado Stake. (It encompasses the southeast quadrant of the Denver Metropolitan Area.) If you are a single member of the church and didn't know that, you do now.

- Events. The church holds events and list member profiles for their membership. If you are a member of the church or thinking of joining the church, this is a very good site
to visit and the events should help meet your interests.
Sunday Night Singles Club East, Volunteer Fee Supported Social Group
- Description. All-volunteer, non-profit singles activities club. All ages welcome, however, most members are 40's to 50's. Membership dues are $29 for 4 months or $75 for a year. Call 24-hour hotline (303-639-7622), then press
1 to leave a message.
- Events. One meeting per month at 5:30 p.m. at Glendale Community Center (999 So. Clermont St.), which includes a light meal and speaker, discussion or activity. Meeting cost is $6. Many other activities throughout the month including
happy hours, dinners, movies, plays, game nights, walks and hikes, etc. Visitors are invited to attend a meeting or activity..
Sunday Night Singles Club West, Volunteer Fee Supported Social Group
- Description. This group meets at locations in the Denver west metro area every Sunday. They charge a small quarterly membership fee to attend events. The meals are not included in the fee which pays support costs.
- Events. Meal events are held at several locations. Most events are held on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening. Call 303 980 0872 to obtain more information. Sunday events are usually held at 6:00 p.m.
Up the Creek Singles Social Group, Non-profit Fee-Supported Group
- Description. Denver no longer has the nice little paper that started it, but the year-round sports and social club that they created has survived. They charge a $35 yearly
membership to support their activities.
- Events. Meets every Friday, call for the location and time 759-8882.
UU Singles Social Group, Non-profit
- Description. A discussion group supported and started by Denver Metro UU Singles and Unitarian/Universalists churches. The group consists of singles 30+ years of age. Church
membership is not required. All singles are welcome. They discuss questions that are fun and of interest to about any single. A $2 donation is requested for refreshments and administrative costs. The group
meets at 7:30 p.m. every forth Friday and there is time to meet and get to know new people. Four questions of interest to singles are discussed each Friday, with time to mingle and snack between questions.
The group has done other activities also such as hikes and dances. They also meet every Sunday at Souper Salad off Hampden and Tamarac at 12:30 p. m. except the last Sunday of the month when they have
a potluck at someone's home. The UU Singles Hotline is (303) 215-4576.
- Events. The next meeting of the UU Singles will be Friday, September 24, 7:30 pm. They also meet every Sunday at Souper Salad off Hampden and Tamarac at 12:30 pm, except the

Vegetarian Singles and Others, Vegetarian Society of Colorado, Non-profit Group.
- Description. This group is composed of single vegetarian and vegan individuals that belong to or are affiliated with the Vegetarian Society of Colorado (http://www.vsc.org).
The society was founded in 1975 and has chapters in Boulder, Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak), Denver, Durango, Evergreen (mountain areas), Fort Collins, and Grand Junction. The singles group is made up of
over 60 individuals that follow the principles of the society as a nonprofit nonsectarian educational organization dedicated to upholding the standards of vegetarianism. (A vegetarian is a person who lives
on a diet free of meat [mammal, fish, fowl, etc.] in any form. A vegan is a person who adheres to a vegetarian diet without the addition of dairy products, eggs, or other animal products.) At present,
in Colorado, only the Denver Metro area has a singles event group.
- Events. In general, an event is held on the first Saturday of each month. You can contact a coordinator to suggest an event. Check their web page for events that are planned or have taken place. Membership is upon
request for members of the Colorado Vegetarian Society.
Young Excited Singles (YES), Positive Singles, and Singles in Spirit; Mile High Church of Religious Science,
Non-profit Groups.
- Description. These are groups of men and women who celebrate life within the principles of Science of Mind. Through social activities they develop friendships and promote
personal growth. The groups belong to or are affiliated with the Mile High Church of Religious Science, located at Alameda and Garrison in Lakewood, Colorado (mail address 9277 West Alameda, Suite 200).
The church as three services each Sunday at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. A lesson in the Science of Mind principles is aired each Sunday at 8:30 am on TCI and Jones Cable, Channel 10 and UHF channel
14. YES is made up mainly of people 30-45, Positive Singles 40-, and Singles in Spirit 21-30's. Please note that if you are not in your twenties, you will probably feel out of place with the Singles in
Spirit group. In addition to the singles events, all of these singles' organizations hold charitable events for the community and church support of the community.
- Events. Several events are held each month (10-30 per group).
- A hotline for YES is available at 303.273.5551. In general, a YES brunch gathering is held each Sunday beginning at about 11:30 (after the 10:00 a.m. service) at Pitchers Sports Resaurant, 1st Ave
and Union Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. The cost for a year's membership is $25.
- A hotline for Positive Singles is available at 303.331.2583. Positive Singles is restructuring and requests you contact them after the church 10 am service for events discussions and suggestions on
how they should meet the desires of their membership. They usually meet at a nearby restaurant for brunch after the 10 am service. Present brunch location is Alayah's, 611 West Colfax at 11:30 a.m. each
Sunday. Membership is $25 per year.
- The event hotline for Singles in Spirit is 303.575.1335. They usually meet for the 10 am service and then go to brunch together after the service. (They also join together at the 8:30 service.) Brunch
is at Jason's Deli, 2nd and Union at 11:30 a.m. each Sunday. The cost for a year's membership is $20.
